It actually looks like there's a pedal linkage as well.

that would make an interesting racing series...one guy steers the other guy has throttle and brake control

Like Bobsled! Except there is no throttle, just ice and gravity.

yeah for sure it does. Guaranteed it is for mail delivery or something - on the cheap

So it does! Pretty slick eitherway!

I dunno, this looks like a Ranger/Explorer interior. Wouldn't seem at home in a mail service fleet.

I've personally seen jeeps, pickups and whatnot delivering mail along with that funny looking box truck. I've also seen other pictures of trucks and jeeps converted to RHD, but driven in the US for mail delivery.
I think some people out there get to use their personal vehicles, or some mail distribution centers service areas with low enough population to allow for just one converted vehicle in lieu of a fleet of liveried RHD box trucks.

I've figured this out. I know that the mail service uses RHD Jeep Wranglers in a lot of rural areas, although those are purpose built vehicles that wouldn't have to be converted as such. This, on the other hand, is actually a post-facelift XJ Cherokee (upon further inspection, not a Ranger), which would probably need to be converted, AND would work very well on a rural mail route,

God damn passenger seat drivers!

There is a series like that! Competitors use 70’s & 80’s land yachts. driver steers and passenger has gas/brakes. I think it was called tandem racing. They did it on the local short track speedway and the organizers put two gigantic construction equipment tires on the start finish line to force the racers to squeeze through rubbing door to door or one at a time.
